Microwave is an essential kitchen appliance used to quickly pre-heat leftovers, defrost frozen foods or boil water. Microwaves use non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation supplied by high voltage transformer to quickly excite the water content of our food thus heating it up. Microwave Repair maintenance and tips:
Use only microwave safe dishware and especially avoid putting anything metal or with metal trim inside as it may cause damage to the heating system unless the user manual says otherwise. Keeping the interior clean will prevent any unwanted arcing or corrosion to enamel which may cause sparks to occur. It is crucial to keep waveguide cover AKA mica plate sheet clean. Using mild soap to clean it will prevent premature magnetron failure.
